Dr. Gardenier is a Double Board-Certified, Harvard-trained Plastic Surgeon specializing in aesthetic surgery of the face, breast, and body. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS). He is originally from the Virginia suburbs of Washington DC and he completed medical school at the University of Virginia. He later completed a residency in General Surgery at New York-Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center. He published over 20 academic papers in peer reviewed journals over the course of two years of research in plastic surgery and lymphatic biology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in the laboratory of Dr. Babak Mehrara.
After his general surgery training, he trained in Plastic Surgery at Harvard University's world-renowned institutions, including the Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston Children's Hospital, and Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. He is Board-Certified by both the American College of Surgeons and by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons. He has visited and trained with many of the world's leading aesthetic surgeons in facelift, rhinoplasty, and aesthetic breast surgery. As a lifelong artist and sculptor, he developed a special interest in aesthetic surgery. Prior to moving back home to the DC area, Dr. Gardenier worked as an extremely busy aesthetic plastic surgeon in New England in Portland, Maine. He has studied multiple foreign languages including Spanish, Russian, and Turkish. His other passions include running, hiking, exercise, and travel.
